Keeping track of your cash flow is not easy. Not keeping track at all, makes you often wonder where your money went. Things are basic though: you receive money and you give it. My Checkbook works around this simple principle. You have a balance and can create deposits and withdrawals. If you create more than one account, you can also add transfers to the database. In addition, because some money goes in/out periodically, you can create scheduled deposits/withdrawals.
Although the interface looks minimal and there are not many features to play with, the program includes everything you need to create a complete and clearly organized report.
A clear separation is made between withdrawals and deposits, by placing the numbers in different columns of the table. This makes it easy to get a general picture of your cash flow - where the money is going or coming from and what expenses seem out of hand.
My Checkbook is a simple but very effective piece of software. The trial version expires in 30 days giving you plenty of time to test its features. With a low price for a license, it is affordable and also a good investment.
